Named after the druidic spirit of creativity, the complex flavours of our awesome sub-region play out in the exquisite palate of Awen, a generous wine that we are happy to call our Premium Chardonnay. 

Our Rangiwai Chardonnay is Kokako's house style, offering a full palate weight from perfectly ripened fruit, the added richness of 11 months aging in Damy French Oak . Baked white peach at first, then a powerful pink grapefruit hit, reflecting the powerful 2021 vintage

An Italian grape variety needed an Italian name! Uccello  (uc‧cèl‧lo) meaning bird. In this case the North Island Kōkako. 

This cuvée is fresh and lively, with aromas of citrus blossom, and hints of lemon grass. The perfect aperitif and celebration wine.

Aromatics of wild flowers and violets, broody dark fruits.

Sweet dark cherry on the palate at first, powerful and mouth filling, lovely oak hints wash in adding to the warmth and mouth feel.  Great persistence with a long finish.

Unfiltered with no fining done, pure vineyard expression, from a 'Goldilocks' season
